Faith in the Village is a fortnightly mid-week Christian gathering which takes place in an extra-care (retirement) village in Stoke.
FIV is for the people who live in West End Village, for people who live in the local community of Stoke, and is also open to people who attend the local churches in Stoke.
FIV is a Christian gathering during which hymns are sung, and prayers are prayed, and discussions about life and faith are had.
FIV is not part of any specific Christian denomination (type of church), but is connected to several.
FIV is not like traditional church, but for some who attend it is “their church”.
FIV sessions are led by a different people, from a group of regular session leaders, each one in their own particular style.
FIV has a relaxed and informal format, but is also a time and place for encouragement in faith, and spiritual encounter.
